Paul Danczyk, Ph.D.

Senior Coach

Paul Danczyk, Ph.D., is a coach with Geffner Group, LLC and the Chief Operating Officer for California Counties Foundation.

In his current capacity, Paul leads professional development and major initiatives to support California counties and county leadership. This includes The William “Bill” Chiat Institute for Excellence in County Government (CSAC Institute), with over 100 classes annually; the CSAC Grants Initiative; and executive services. He facilitates retreats and is a featured instructor. As a certified executive coach, Paul worked with over 600 public sector senior executives and administrators one-on-one and in teams.

In previous roles, he was the Director of Executive Education in Sacramento for the University of Southern California’s Sol Price School of Public Policy, and taught core courses in the Master of Public Administration program.

He is a Fellow with the National Academy of Public Administration and a past president of the American Society for Public Administration. A returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Paul earned a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, Master of Public Administration (University of Southern California), Bachelor of Science (Pennsylvania State University). He is a certified executive coach and holds professional certifications.

An ongoing student of the arts and natural sciences, Paul enjoys landscaping, creating sculptures, painting, and bee keeping.
